About me
My journey into dog training began in 2017, when I rescued a five-year-old German Shepherd who was fearful of the world around her. She was reactive to almost everything, with a particularly strong fear of men and other dogs.
She was my soul dog, and I was determined to help her feel safer, build her confidence and navigate a world she found terrifying. As I learned how to better understand her needs and advocate for her, I discovered a passion I hadn’t realised was still there. For a long time, I’d thought becoming a dog trainer was a dream that simply wasn’t meant for me. But she changed that, inspiring me to turn that dream into reality.
I believe people choose to work with me because they feel understood. I’ve been in your shoes. I know how difficult it can be when your dog struggles with the world around them, and how overwhelming it can feel when you’re trying to find the right way forward.
Award Winning Dog Trainer
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to learning, developing my skills and becoming the best trainer I can be. I’ve undertaken further education with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers, Canine Principles and Dog Training College, continually building my knowledge and experience. That journey has led me to become an award-winning dog trainer, and I remain committed to learning and growing so I can offer the very best support to the dogs and people I work with.
Based in Aberdeenshire, I offer bespoke one-to-one training tailored to each individual dog and their human. Whether you’re welcoming a new puppy into your family, navigating the challenges of adolescence, working through reactivity or facing something else entirely, I’m here to help.
My approach is fear-free and force-free, using positive reinforcement, games and practical, reward-based training to make learning enjoyable for both ends of the lead. I don’t believe training should be about fear, intimidation or punishment. Instead, I focus on building trust, confidence and understanding, helping you and your dog develop the skills you need to navigate everyday life together.
Above all, I’m here to support you, not judge you. Every dog is an individual, and every owner has their own experiences, challenges and goals. That’s why I take the time to understand you both, creating an individualised approach that works for your circumstances and puts your dog’s emotional wellbeing at the heart of the process.
Because training should be fun for both ends of the lead — and you and your dog deserve to enjoy the journey together.
